A Focus on Ease

We teach a tradition of Thai Theravada meditation called Dhammakaya meditation, popularized by Luang Pu Sodh Candasaro in the 20th century. The approach emphasizes a balance of comfort and awareness of body and mind. When the body is comfortable and the mind is at ease, the mind naturally begins to settle and comes back to the natural home. Once this happens, we experience a profound sense of contentment that changes us at our core.

Approachable for Beginners

Part of the beauty of this practice is that every step of the way, progress occurs by relaxing more deeply and letting go more fully. That means that even if you're new to meditation, learning how to properly find ease in body and mind can bring you great benefits from the very start. You're welcome to sit on the floor or on a chair as best suits your needs.

Deepening your Practice

The monks provide personalized guidance in small group sessions and are available for personal consultation. If you already have an existing meditation practice, you're welcome to use any techniques that work best for you. Our method gives you an approach to using these techniques effectively by evaluating the balance of ease and awareness in your practice.

All offerings are supported by donation

The meditation teachings are given freely according to Thai Theravada Buddhist practices. We believe cost should never be prohibitive in accessing this ancient wisdom. For those wanting to support the center to ensure we can continue sustainably offering these session for the public into the future, we gratefully appreciate donations of any amount.
